Again, I have no idea where this photo is from - although the Pickelhaube helmets certainly suggest a Germanic origin. This puts it somewhat out of the purview of the stated goals of this blog, however its more the idea of an Eastern European Border Check Point that appeals to me.
And lets face it, when you're being questioned by a Border Guard with a Pickelhaube, you somewhat expect them to have a severe accent, and absolutely zero sense of humour.
